The Yavapai County Sheriff's Volunteers in Protection (VIP) program is a 501-C3 non-profit organization which operates under the direction of the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. Applicants must be 18 years old; 21 years old to carry a firearm. Applicants must also be a U.S. citizen, have a current Arizona Drivers License, and current Arizona Voters I.D. card. No previous law enforcement experience is required. Both men and women are encouraged to apply.
